It’s not just Zach King’s “digital sleight of hand” that’s magical; it’s also his social media.
The internet personality from Agoura Hills, California, USA is one of the hottest content creators on the web, dazzling people around the world with his digital magic tricks.
He now also has the most viewed video on TikTokwith 2.2 billion views as of March 15, 2022.
That’s an incredible number of sights to take in, especially considering that there are 8 billion people on earth and many of them don’t yet have access to the internet.

Titled “Zach Kings Magic Broomstick,” the internet-famous video was posted on December 9, 2019.
In the caption, Zach writes “They rejected my application to Hogwarts, but I still found a way to be a wizard.”
The viral magician then appears on screen wearing a Hogwarts uniform as he appears to be flying through the streets on a broomstick before the illusion trick is revealed.
Some followers couldn’t believe their eyes, posting comments like, “Am I the only one watching this over and over to figure out how he did this?”

Zach was first captivated by magic and illusions at a young age.
He was a very introverted child and enjoyed going to magic shows with his grandfather.
“I used to be shy at parties and realized that if I could do magic tricks for people, it immediately broke down social barriers and allowed me to connect,” Zach said.
“I’ve always been intrigued by how magic can bring out the childlike wonder in a person.”
As Zach grew, his skills as a modern-day magician also increased, and in 2008 he began posting videos on YouTube and delighting the World Wide Web.
With no plans to slow down, the “Final Cut King” has been mesmerizing the cyberspace web ever since with his social media hocus pocus.
Although his videos focus on magic tricks, the real magic is actually in his stunning stop-motion video editing.
“I still really enjoy magic and learning tricks,” Zach admitted.
“But I just don’t have the time outside of work to master them like the pros.”
Zach has certainly gained his impressive following over the years, but also credits much of his viral success to his early start.
“I’m a big believer in the importance of being on platforms early on. My team was on TikTok back when it was still called Musical.ly,” Zach said.
“When it was rebranded as TikTok, my account already had a significant number of followers, which gave us a leg up on many creators.”
Before becoming one of social media’s favorite illusionists, Zach created content from his college dorm.
In fact, he was just a freshman at Biola University, studying film and media arts, when his first YouTube video went viral.
“At the time, a million views was considered viral. It was really exciting and gave me the motivation to try and keep creating more viral content,” Zach said.
“I never thought I would end up breaking a world record!”

While not the most popular video he’s created to date, one of Zach’s favorite videos features a camping concept where he built a fort in his living room with his sons.
“The cover fort creates a portal to a beautiful mountaintop with a campfire,” Zach said.
“It was so special because I got to do it with my sons, but also because it was the first time we built a set on a mountain and also the first time we published behind the scenes of the making. “
But despite Zach’s best efforts to create the perfect digital illusions, he says his most viewed videos tend to be the ones that are usually the most spontaneous.
“I remember at a team meeting we realized Halloween was coming up and we thought of an idea that used mirrors to make it look like I was flying on a broomstick,” Zach said.
“We shot this video in an afternoon with just me and two other guys.”
Like any good magician, Zach needed assistants to achieve social media stardom.
The TikTok trickster credits his parents for giving him his very first video camera and inspiring him to pursue his dreams in filmmaking.
“They homeschooled me and my siblings which gave us more time to invest in our passions,” Zach said.
“They’ve been a huge encouragement to me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”
Over the years, Zach has won numerous awards, including the Hewlett-Packard Business Competition, YouTube’s NextUp Creators Competition, and Top Vine Artist at the 8th Annual Shorty Awards.
He was also recognized as one of America’s 25 Most Promising Young Filmmakers.
But Zach was especially thrilled to learn of his latest Guinness World Records title.
“I grew up reading the Guinness World Records books and always thought it would be cool to have a world record one day,” Zach said.
“When I found out I officially had a world record, I was super excited, and it was pretty surreal!”
In the future, Zach hopes to do more than just bring magic and wonder to the world through social media; he would like to move towards directing action-adventure feature films.
We don’t think he’ll need any magic to get there.
